Perth-based private business generating $1-10m profit pa, seeking $3-15m+ in private equity to fund growth, acquisition(s) or shareholder sale(s).

You do not need a complete management team in place nor all of the below criteria satisfied day one. Banksia Capital work to address the below items as a fellow shareholder.

Likes

  • Organic growth (5 % + pa in revenues)
  • M&A opportunities, particularly if that builds WA market share & leadership
  • Businesses with pricing power and where customer relationship not just about the price (e.g. brand, OH&S driven, meeting regulatory or compliance needs, key locations, exclusive agencies or IP, or unique assets)
  • Niche service, rental or distribution models
  • Recurring customer/revenue models

Dislikes

  • Customer concentrations (long term relationship or contracts can offset this negative)
  • One-off or lumpy revenue relationships (eg rarely attracted to contracting businesses)
  • Dependence upon personal relationships to “retain” business (addressable though Banksia achieving shareholder alignment with the “keyman”)
